Alternative Learning Pathways Project

What is the Alternative Learning Pathways Project?

The Alternative Learning Pathway Project is an educational programme catering for young people aged 15 years and over, who are out of school or at risk of being out of school. The project delivers a part time junior certificate programme and is delivered under the Back to Education Initiative. The project is funded under the jobs initiative 2011. The programme supports young people by trying to meet their educational, social and personal needs.

What is our aim?

Our aim is to offer a supportive environment for young people with the objective of assisting them either in a phased re-entry to school or entry to an alternative education or training facility. We provide:

  • Opportunities to gain Junior Certificate and FETAC qualifications in a relaxed and friendly environment.
