Adult Guidance Service

Who are we?

We are an adult education guidance and information service for adults. We assist adults that are participating in or would like to participate in education. This service is available to adults of all ages, from all backgrounds and of all abilities.

What is our aim?

We support and advise people as they make their own decisions about their future in education. We realise that in making these decision adults often need to take account of other aspects of their lives.  Our service is free and confidential. We offer friendly, practical and realistic advice.

Education Information

Our Information Officer provides information to adults interested in returning to learning. We provide:

  • One-to-one information service
  • Learner computers with free internet access
  • Information on access, educational opportunities and progression
  • Information on learning opportunities in the Dún Laoghaire Area
  • Library resources including: options and progression, specific group information, Irish education system, finance, disability, childcare, careers and employment
