Finance

The role of the Finance Department is to ensure full financial accountability through appropriate controls and procedures, to manage the-day-to day financial running of the organization and to provide the necessary accounting and reporting information to assist Executive and Committee decision-making.

The main functions of the department are listed below. 

  • Manage cash flow and budgets
  • Control Income and Expenditure
  • Prepare reports, annual accounts, annual Service Plan etc
  • Implement internal/external Financial Controls
  • Implement internal/external Audit controls
  • Administer payroll service
  • Administer trainee allowances, student grants, scholarships and funding on behalf of the Department of Education and Science
  • Procurement
  • Manage and implement IT projects e.g. Corepay
  • Process expenses and receipts
